Neon Drift Rally
★★★★☆ 4.1
Neon Drift Rally is unapologetic arcade racing — bright tracks, boost pads, and drifts that feel great even when you're not precise. It doesn't pretend to be a simulator, and that's exactly why it works on a touchscreen.
You get a choice between tilt steering and on-screen buttons. Tilt felt natural once we bumped the sensitivity down a notch in settings, though buttons are more reliable on a train. Either way the drift assist keeps you on the road, so the game stays fun instead of frustrating.
The downside is heat: after about twenty minutes our older phone got noticeably warm and the frame rate dipped. Dropping the visual quality one step fixed most of that. Short races, big grin, just don't marathon it unplugged.
What we liked
- Choice of tilt or button steering
- Forgiving drift assist
- Punchy short races for quick sessions
